<ned:bio>Latin rock fans will be treated to a night of phenomenal music performed by Los Lonely Boys and co-headliners Los Lobos at The Greek Theatre on July 25th.

Since their worldwide breakout three years ago, Texican trio Los Lonely Boys - brothers Henry, JoJo and Ringo Garza - have achieved multi-platinum album sales, a Grammy Award (their monster hit "Heaven" won Best Pop Performance by a Duo or Group in 2005), and widespread acclaim from critics, fans and other musicians. All those experiences and led them to their commanding, propulsive 2nd album, Sacred, which has garnered rave reviews. In 2007, Los Lonely Boys participated in Amnesty International's "Make Some Noise" project. Their cover of John Lennon's "Whatever Gets You thru the Night" is the second single from the charity album Instant Karma: The Amnesty International Campaign to Save Darfur. The Boys just finished recording their third album, Forgiven in February 2008, which is slated for a July 1st release.

Since they began as Los Lobos Del Este Los Angeles in 1973, Los Lobos has evolved into a respected artistic entity using eclectic musical molds built on the blues, rockabilly, jazz, Latin and their own Mexican-American heritage. The critically acclaimed Los Lobos has thrived for more than three decades. They've released over 15 albums, won the Best American/Mexican Grammy for Anselma in 1984 and, in 1987, their cover of "La Bamba" shot straight to #1 on the Billboard Singles chart where it remained for three weeks. In September 2006, Los Lobos released The Town and the City to much critical acclaim. The album's lyrics deal with vocalist/guitarist/drummer Louis Perez's childhood in East Los Angeles, while the music portrays complex and original soundscapes.</ned:bio>

			<ned:bio>Grammy-nominated contemporary Christian band, MercyMe with special guest David Crowder Band will perform at the Santa Barbara Bowl on Friday, July 25.

With a string of crossover hits on the Christian charts as well as the mainstream AC and CHR charts, MercyMe defines categorization. Since the Texas sextets' 2001 debut, Almost There was certified double platinum, the band has released an additional five studio albums, most recently 2007's All That Is Within Me.

All That Is Within Me has been heralded as the strongest and most deliberately worshipful release in the rock act's career. The album bursts open with the revved-up punch of "Goodbye Ordinary" and "Time Has Come." Blended together into one continuous track, these introductory songs reflect a broad range of musical influences from The Beatles and Tom Petty to U2 and The Killers. The fact that MercyMe can make such a spectrum of styles work together effectively is a testament to the band's sheer musical talent-a sparkling interplay of tasteful abilities that has been singularly hailed by critics.

Multi Dove award-winning David Crowder Band comes from a humble beginning; forming out of necessity to bring together students for worship at the University Baptist Church that Crowder formed in 1996. Since their inception the band has released seven albums, most recently 2007's Remedy which reached #4 on iTunes only one day after its release, and has toured the US extensively, bringing their eclectic mix of musical genres to fans coast-to-coast.
</ned:bio>

			<ned:bio>Los Lonely Boys are a family tradition. The family band is a great rock'n'roll institution - from the Everly Brothers and the Beach Boys to the Black Crowes and Hanson. There's something about the unstudied perfection of sibling vocal harmonies that creates a distinctive, irresistible style. Los Lonely Boys, three brothers, aged 21-25, from a tiny town in West Texas, are about to write a new chapter in this compelling saga of America's musical families. They began as their father's backing band. Now, Los Lonely Boys will make their own mark. Los Lonely Boys are the three Garza brothers: Henry on guitar, Jojo on bass, and Ringo on drums. This remarkable trio of brothers has been making music together since they were small children and now has a decade of professional experience under their belts as well. Los Lonely Boys write, sing, and play music drawn from diverse sources, blending their influences into a seamless style. Weaned on Tex-Mex, country, blues, and rock pioneers like Richie Valens, Chuck Berry and Fats Domino, and such pop music giants as The Beatles, Los Lonely Boys augment those solid basics with red-hot guitar playing, percolating rock and Latin rhythms, and dynamic interplay and luscious vocal harmonies -- all three brothers also sing -- to produce songs rife with engaging hooks, expressive lyrics, and melodic sumptuousness. The band's self-titled debut album is packed so tightly, it's hard to believe all of this music was created by a trio. Though Henry, the oldest of the brothers, has been hailed as the inheritor of the great Texas guitar tradition epitomized by Freddie King, Johnny Winter and the Vaughan Brothers, he is also the greatest young player in the burgeoning Latino rock guitar style pioneered by Carlos Santana. Backed by tight, intense rhythmic support from his brothers, Henry's playing makes Los Lonely Boys one of the most exciting new bands to emerge in the new millennium. Ask no less an authority than Willie Nelson, who has called Los Lonely Boys his favorite band and invited them to record this album at his own Pedernales studio. Though the brothers know how good they are as a live band, they are amazed at how well the recordings worked out in the studio. "We tried to record before and I was never really happy with the way it came out," Henry admits. "But on this album I can honestly say I'm happy with the whole thing, the guitar tone, the guitar parts, vocal parts, the way the whole vibe of the record ... I'm really proud of it." " It's kinda crazy, we're like the Mexican Beatles," Henry concludes. "People always ask us what kind of style we play. I tell 'em it's a cross between Stevie Ray meets Santana, Jimi Hendrix meets Richie Valens, or the Beatles meet Ronnie Milsap. I call it my music burrito theory. What we've done is made like our own tortilla, right, with all the knowledge of all the greats that are out there, I can't even think of 'em all right now, but we put 'em inside the tortilla, fold it up in there, we make our own burrito and we're sellin' it to the world, y'know?"</ned:bio>

			<ned:bio>The Greek Theatre Los Angeles proudly welcomes a night of incredible blues-rock featuring "Bad-to-the-Bone" rocker George Thorogood and the legendary Buddy Guy on August 1, 2008. Joining them as special guest will be Elvin Bishop. This is a show you won't want to miss!

George Thorogood and The Destroyers fought their way to the top. They came out of Delaware in the '70s as a jarringly high-energy bunch whose raucous, slide guitar-stoked, blues-rock takes on tunes by Chuck Berry, Elmore James, John Lee Hooker, Bo Diddley and others helped land them a contract with Cambridge's Rounder Records. Spanning over 30 years, George Thorogood and the Destroyers have put out a string of hits including the Hank Williams cover "Move it on Over," and the bad-boy staple "Bad to the Bone." Other classic favorites include their cover of Bo Diddley's "Who Do You Love?"

Any discussion of Buddy Guy invariably involves a recitation of his colossal musical resume and hard-earned accolades. He's a Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductee, a chief guitar influence to rock titans like Hendrix, Clapton, Beck and Vaughan, a pioneer of Chicago's fabled West Side sound, and a living link to that city's halcyon days of electric blues. His style has influenced some of rock n roll's greatest artists such as Eric Clapton, Jimi Hendrix, Jeff Beck, Stevie Ray Vaughn and The Rolling Stones. Clapton once stated, "Buddy Guy is by far and without a doubt the best guitar player alive. If you see him in person, the way he plays is beyond anyone. Total freedom of spirit, I guess. He really changed the course of rock and roll blues" and Hendrix exclaimed, "Heaven is lying at Buddy Guy's feet while listening to him play guitar."</ned:bio>

			<ned:bio>The Grove of Anaheim is excited to announce Boz Scaggs' return to its stage on Thursday, August 7th. Scaggs grew up in Texas immersed in rhythm and blues, soul music, early rock 'n' roll and raw Delta and Chicago blues. In high school, he played in a band with classmate Steve Miller, before striking out on his own. After a few years of traveling around Europe in the "dharma bum" tradition, in 1967 Scaggs headed to San Francisco, where he joined the Steve Miller Blues Band and took part in the Bay Area scene that was helping to revolutionize American rock 'n' roll. After two albums with Miller, he made his U.S. solo debut for Atlantic Records. The album, Boz Scaggs, was cut with the famed Mussel Shoals rhythm section, and featured the young guitarist Duane Allman on the blazing thirteen-minute blues workout "Loan Me a Dime."

Scaggs moved to Columbia records on 1971 releasing records such as, Moments, Boz Scaggs and Band, My Time that increasingly explored his love for rhythm and blues music. In the early 1990s, he signed with Virgin and made the Grammy-nominated blues collection Come On Home and the critically acclaimed 2001 release Dig. On his own Gray Cat label, Scaggs has released Greatest Hits Live, a two-disc live collection that spans his entire career. He also made But Beautiful, in which he tackled the Great American Songbook accompanied by a jazz quartet. Rolling Stone commented, "Boz Scaggs is hardly the first rock star to turn toward the classic American songbook, but few have ever done it with the soulful ease he does on But Beautiful."</ned:bio>

			<ned:bio>Steve Miller Band with special guest Joe Cocker will play the Santa Barbara Bowl on Thursday, August 7.

Steve Miller Band is one of the seminal rock bands of the 1970's and the group and its songs have continued to resonate with fans new and old. The group's first record, The Joker, released in 1973 went Platinum and resulted in a #1 single. However, it was Fly Like an Eagle, released three years later that confirmed the band's position at the top of the rock charts. Originally released in May 1976 against the backdrop of America's bicentennial celebration, Fly Like an Eagle proved to be a career-defining album for Steve Miller Band. With over four million albums sold to date, Fly Like an Eagle is the band's biggest selling studio album. It spent nearly two years on the Billboard 200, peaking at #3 and yielding the Top 40 singles "Rock 'N Me," "Fly Like an Eagle" and "Take the Money and Run." Joe Cocker found breakout success in the US with the groundbreaking rearrangement of "With a Little Help from My Friends" and with his performance at the 1969 Woodstock Music Festival. Since then he has had many hits including "Up Where We Belong," "Unchain My Heart" and "Have a Little Faith In Me."</ned:bio>

			<ned:bio>Donna Summer is a disco-dance singer known best for her late 70s disco hits (earning her the title "Queen of Disco") and early-to-mid 80s pop hits. She sold 120 Million records to date and holds a few world records, including the longest 'straight' note sung live for almost 17 seconds. She is the only artist in History who has 3 double albums hit number 1 back to back on the US Billboard chart. I feel love was the first song that was inducted in the US dance hall of fame. Of particular note was 1989 when she teamed up with legendary UK song writing / production trio Stock/Aitken/Waterman to release the 'Another Place and Time' CD. This briefly relaunched Donna's career, scoring huge hits in the UK and US with 'This Time I Know It's For Real'. Lesser hits followed including 'I Don't Wanna Get Hurt' (the video for which Donna refused to appear in stating that she felt the song should have been given to 'a much younger woman'...) and 'Love's About To Change My Heart'. Unfortunately Donna only recorded one album with the team who are on record as saying she was the best vocalist they had ever worked with.</ned:bio>

Known for their reverb-heavy sound and energetic live shows, My Morning Jacket have been praised by PopMatters as "one of the most powerful live bands around."

Prior to Evil Urges, My Morning Jacket albums have each reflected the passion that the band shares for music of all categories while continuing to nurture their signature aesthetic. Stylistically, Evil Urges promises to deliver the eclectic mix of indie, Southern rock, psychedelic and jam-band styles for which the band has become known. Their previous work has emboldened them with the confidence to continue to grow in ways few artists would be capable of achieving. Admirably, Jim James' songwriting manages to remain as organic and cohesive as ever, making their musical leaps forward fluid, logical, entertaining, and inspiring.</ned:bio>
